Pop music industry impresario and entertainment mogul Lou Pearlman announced his new venture into the burgeoning world of Latin entertainment with the launch of Trans Continental Latino, a new label that will develop new talent as well as recruit established artists who capture the broad diversity of Latin music. Orlando, FL, February 10, 2006 --( PR.com)-- Pop music industry impresario and entertainment mogul Lou Pearlman announced his new venture into the burgeoning world of Latin entertainment with the launch of Trans Continental Latino, a new label that will develop new talent as well as recruit established artists who capture the broad diversity of Latin music. The first artist signed to the label is C Note, a pop vocal group comprised of five Latino male singers and dancers who are currently recording a debut EP with songs ranging from up-tempo pop tracks to contemporary ballads in English, Spanish and “Spanglish.” Credited with launching the careers of such pop juggernauts as ‘N SYNC and the Backstreet Boys, who achieved phenomenal success abroad before launching in the United States, Pearlman is set to bring C Note to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic this August to kick off the group’s first tour before returning to the U.S. The tour will promote C Note’s debut single and music video for “WEPA,” a high-energy pop record infused with Latin rhythms that was produced by Dakari and mixed by Lou Diaz of South Florida production duo the Diaz Brothers. The single features rhymes by top Latin DJ and rapper Tony Touch and is currently in rotation in major Latin markets. A soon-to-be released remix by renowned reggaeton beatmaker Echo is set to hit fast-rising Hurban radio stations in the coming weeks. ”With C Note leading the way, Trans Continental Latino is poised to enter the expanding arena of music and entertainment that speaks directly to the Latino youth audience,” said Trans Continental Companies Founder and Chairman Lou Pearlman. “Trans Continental Records’ artists have always held tremendous global appeal, and I am thrilled to bring our cross-cultural success to the next level with the launch of Trans Continental Latino and the amazing talent of C Note.”
C Note is the first artist signed to Lou Pearlman’s new label, Trans Continental Latino, and is a bilingual vocal group comprised of five talented, athletic singers and dancers who shift easily from soulful harmonies to alluring Latin rhythms. Its five members, Orlando “O.T.” Torres, Vincent “V” Pesante, Joshua “J-Kid” Correa, Raul “RaRa” Molina and David “D LO” Perez, originate from New York, Orlando and Miami and have diverse Latin backgrounds ranging from Puerto Rico to Cuba to the Dominican Republic. The group is currently recording its debut EP, which is set to be released in September 27, 2005 and will feature tracks in English, Spanish and “Spanglish.” C Note will launch a promotional tour in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic in September 2005 to promote their debut single, “WEPA,” an up-tempo Latin pop record produced by Dakari which features verses from Latin DJ and rapper Tony Touch and was mixed by Lou Diaz of the South Florida production duo the Diaz Brothers.
Established in 1975 by founder and chairman Louis J. Pearlman, Trans Continental Companies has carved out a distinctive niche in the music industry with a clear focus on discovering and developing pop recording artists. Pearlman launched the companies’ first record label under the name Trans Continental Records in 1990. Trans Continental Records’ first artist, the Backstreet Boys, catapulted the label into the spotlight of the world music scene, selling more than 65 million units worldwide. Pearlman and Trans Continental Records quickly repeated that success with ‘N SYNC, which sold over 56 million units globally. Today, the label’s roster includes artists Aaron Carter, Jordan Knight, Well Worn Zero, Smilez and Southstar and Sean van der Wilt. Trans Continental Latino, launched in 2005, is Pearlman’s second label under Trans Continental Companies, which also includes the successful entertainment properties Trans Continental Studios, Trans Continental TV Productions and Talent Rock, among others.
